Qualmark meets with local operators in Clutha

Catlins Otago

Back in September, we were thrilled to be invited by Clutha Development to come to town and talk about everything Qualmark to their local tourism operators.

Lying between Dunedin and Invercargill, the Clutha District has a lot to offer and is a true highlight along the world-class Southern Scenic Route. A paradise for hikers with many options along the iconic Nugget Point, the famous Cathedral Caves and Purakaunui Falls, featuring an impressive triple tiered cascade.

For a dose of history, discover the story of Gabriel’s Gully in the heritage town of Lawrence. The Clutha Gold Cycling and Walking Trail, one of the Ngā Haerenga Great Rides of New Zealand, takes the visitor on a scenic, historic journey alongside the country’s largest and fastest river - the mighty Clutha Mata-au.

It was great to have Janene Diver, founder of Cascade Creek Retreat, attend the event to talk so enthusiastically about her journey with Qualmark over the last 9 years. We are always grateful to have our members participate at these workshops.

Qualmark is always interested to work with the smaller regions and it’s great to have more Clutha based operators joining us.
