Tourism Advisory Support Service

What is on offer and why?

The Finance Minister’s Budget announcement included details of business continuity support for New Zealand tourism operators seeking guidance on what next steps are available for the sustainability of their operations.

To acknowledge the current situation we have been working closely across government agencies to ensure you can access as much support as possible. We are committed to ensuring the tourism industry is aware of what is available to help your businesses.

We are here to support you.

The business advisory programme has been established by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) and will be managed through Qualmark and Tourism New Zealand. The programme is structured to help tourism operators navigate a sustainable way forward through the COVID-19 crisis with a focus on business continuity.

Given that there are key decisions to be made with the added uncertainty of the operating environment over the next 12 - 18 months we have purposed advisory businesses with the task of providing support focused on the continuity of your operation.

Nominated advisory businesses have already begun working with clients in the tourism sector on the impact of COVID-19. The programme structured around a one on one framework that will work through agreed methodology and identifying key actions and advice for not only tourism business issues but to also support the leaders within the business.

We are receiving a massive uptake in businesses wanting to take part in this programme and we see this as a sign on how much this industry comes together in challenging times. We aim to make contact with you within 5 – 10 working days.
