Digital Capability Programme 2022 Workshop dates

Digital Capability has been established by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) as part of the tourism recovery package. It is managed through Qualmark and Tourism New Zealand to help tourism operators access specialist advice to lift their digital capabilities.  Areas where support will be available include digital marketing, website performance and social media content and creation.

This phase two support programme has a practical focus with tourism operators able to improve their knowledge practical capabilities and help implement new tools or strategies. After a series of workshops, you’ll get tailored one-on-one sessions to focus on your digital needs for the continuity of your business.

Programme details

The programme starts with an interactive workshop, delivered either as a full day in-person workshop or online over 2-3 hours spread across 2-3 days.

The workshop is followed by a one-on-one session with a tourism focused digital marketing business to work with you on the areas you want to develop further to best support your digital needs for the continuity of your business.

The final stage involves implementing the areas for training or technical support, where funding has been approved specific to your needs, and the needs of the business.

This is a great opportunity for you to get specialist, professional advice and training to develop your business's digital capability.

Full programme details are available here.

How the programme works

  1. 1

    Digital Capability Programme Welcome

Once your registration has been approved, you will receive an acknowledgment email from Qualmark. Your allocated support business will contact you their schedule of group workshop dates.

  2. 2

    Group Workshops

You will need to attend a full day, or two half day practical, in-person digital capability workshop before you can progress to a one on one scoping session with your allocated support business.

  3. 3

    Specialist Scoping

The scoping session will discuss areas identified to best support the short and long term continuity needs of the business, as well as recommendations for any additional training needs.

  4. 4

    Implementation

The scoping report is reviewed for recommendations to be approved. Approved recommendations are then implemented with you with your allocated support business.
