The Qualmark star grading system, which is the official star grading system in New Zealand, can help you choose the type of accommodation you are looking for, in the style that suits you - from holiday parks to hotels to backpackers and a range of other kinds of accommodation.
Accommodation providers are assessed on criteria specific to their category - so you will find a range of star grades within each accommodation category. The system has been developed for you, the traveller, so you can book and buy with confidence.
The star grading system is used for all Qualmark accommodation categories (except for Exclusive).

Every accommodation provider on this website has undergone a rigorous assessment and licensing process to become part of the Qualmark licensing system. They'll meet your essential requirements of cleanliness, safety, security and comfort; and offer a range and quality of services appropriate to their star grade.
